About Cindy
I have always owned a dog. As far back as I can remember, although there were 6 kids, I was the one that the strays always "followed home." I love dogs. I think that I prefer them to people. I probably shouldn't say that, but unconditional love is hard to find. Right now I have 3 dogs; I call them "my girls."
Sophie is a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. She is 10 years old. She has a heart condition and has been operated on 5 times for bladder stones. We hope to finally have her problem under control now with diet and medication. She is the happiest dog you'll ever run across. She is laid back -- whatever or whomever comes her way, that's fine.
Then there's Tulula. She's a Japanese Chin. 10 pounds of love for people, but I must admit that she sometimes is jealous. She may nip at another dog but she has never done more than the 'get away' warning that she does.

Grace is my latest addition, she is a shelter puppy and I have had her about 1 1/2 years now. I love her dearly and she enjoys playing with the new dogs that she meets, as long as they aren't too big.
My girls are spoiled and are used to me being home with them. I started puppysit.com because I know that there are other spoiled babies whose owners love them and couldn't think about going away unless their pet was well cared for in the manner that they had grown accustomed to. You should be able to be away knowing that your dog is still part of a family. I want your dog to enjoy his or her "vacation" as much as you do. I only crate dogs in my home at the owner's request. If they sleep with you, they sleep with me. If they get a certain treat at a certain time of day, I do that too. I happen to cook for my girls (I don't expect everyone to do that, but learning about quality dog food is a great idea) but if you do, I'd be happy to do that while you're away. This is what I do and you may find fancier facilities but you won't find anyone who will care for your pet better than I will. I welcome any questions by email or phone.
